MSNBC Survey puts Charice as Top Up-and-Coming Teen Artist
In a recent online survey conducted by MSNBC, Charice Pempengco was voted the #1 up-and-coming teen pop artist of today. With 52% of the total votes (36,500 total votes), Charice surpassed the likes of Disney's Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez as well as guitarist Quincy Mumford.

Charice Reveals Scheduled "Sing and Dance-Off" With Michael Jackson
On June 31st, just three weeks before Charice was secretly scheduled to go on tour with the "King of Pop", Michael Jackson was found dead at his estate in Los Angeles.

Charice and Arnel Receive Guillermo Award
Two Filipino singers were honored with the Outstanding Global Achievement by a Filipino Artist award Arnel Pineda received his award via VTR from Europe, where the vocalist is now on tour with the American rock band Journey. Charice Pempengco, who has achieved international fame at the tender age of 17, was also honored with the award.
A Journey Begins Concert
Charice held her first solo concert June 27th in her home country of the Phillipines. This concert featured fellow Filipino singing stars, including friend Raph Salazar and members of the show Little Big Star.
